Most design problems are really sequencing problems.

Understand the constraint
Before anything is drawn I want the real limitation — the legacy system, the regulator, the two-person team who will maintain it.

Design the smallest honest version
A narrow thing that ships beats a broad thing that stalls in review. I design for what can actually get built this quarter.

Stay through the build
I sit with engineers during implementation. Most of the quality in a product is decided in the gap between handoff and launch.
