My tutorial group had four people in it. By the second term the tutor knew exactly which arguments I would try to get away with.

Before you apply

How large are tutorials really?

Capped at six, and the average across the last academic year was 4.2. It is the single most expensive thing we do and the reason fees are where they are.

What support is there financially?

Bursaries of up to GBP 3,000 a year are means-tested and awarded automatically, with no separate application form.

Is accommodation guaranteed?

For all first-year undergraduates who apply by the deadline, and for the full course for international students.

What are graduate outcomes?

Ninety-four per cent are in work or further study fifteen months after graduating, from the most recent published survey.

Open days run monthly.

Meet the department, sit in on a tutorial, and stay for lunch in the hall.
